Who we are

Snackology (“we”, “our”, “us”) is a premium Indian snack brand currently in pre-launch. Our website is snackology.co.in. For any privacy-related questions, email us at snackology.in@gmail.com.

What we collect

When you join our waitlist or submit an enquiry, we collect:
  • Your name (optional for the waitlist)
  • Your email address
  • Your snack taste profile (chosen during quiz — used to personalise your experience)
  • For enquiries: phone number and message content
We do not collect payment information, government IDs, or sensitive personal data.

How we use it

We use your information to:
  • Notify you when Snackology launches
  • Send early-access offers and updates you signed up for
  • Respond to your enquiries
  • Improve our product and website experience
We will never sell your data to third parties or use it for unrelated marketing.

Where we store it

Your data is stored securely in a MongoDB database hosted on MongoDB Atlas (cloud, EU/US regions). We use industry-standard encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. Email notifications are sent via Resend. Neither provider sells your data.

How long we keep it

We keep waitlist and enquiry data until Snackology has launched and you have been notified, or until you ask us to delete it — whichever comes first. After launch, marketing data is retained only while you remain subscribed.

Your rights

You have the right to:
  • Access — request a copy of data we hold about you
  • Correct — ask us to fix inaccurate information
  • Delete — ask us to erase your data at any time
  • Unsubscribe — opt out of marketing emails at any time
To exercise any of these rights, email snackology.in@gmail.com with the subject line "Privacy Request". We will respond within 30 days.

Cookies

This site uses minimal cookies — only those strictly necessary to run the application (session state, sound preference). We do not use third-party advertising cookies. If we add analytics or advertising in future, this policy will be updated and you will be notified.

Your rights under India's DPDPA 2023

Snackology operates as a Data Fiduciary under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (“DPDPA”) and the DPDP Rules, 2025. This section explains your rights as a Data Principal (that's you).

What we collect and why:

  • Name & Email — to send you Snackology launch news and early-access offers. This is the specific purpose you consented to.
  • Snack Profile — to personalise your early-access communications.

Consent record:

When you tick the consent checkbox on our waitlist form, we record: (a) that you consented, (b) the exact text of the notice you agreed to, (c) a version number of that notice, and (d) the timestamp of your consent. If we ever change the purpose of how we use your data, we will ask for fresh consent before proceeding.

How to withdraw consent:

You may withdraw your consent at any time by emailing snackology.in@gmail.com with the subject line "Withdraw Consent". We will delete your data within 7 days and confirm by reply. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.

Grievance redressal:

If you believe your data has been mishandled, email us at snackology.in@gmail.com with the subject line "Data Grievance". We will acknowledge within 48 hours and resolve within 30 days. If unresolved, you may escalate to the Data Protection Board of India once it is constituted.

Cross-border transfers:

Your data may be stored on MongoDB Atlas servers outside India (EU/US regions). We have ensured these transfers comply with applicable DPDPA provisions and that the recipients maintain equivalent data protection standards.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product evolves. The “Last updated” date at the top will always reflect the most recent version. For material changes affecting your consent, we will notify you by email before changes take effect.
